On 4 October, the day of 80th anniversary of Civil Defense the Russian Emergency Ministry will hold large-scale civil defenses training exercises for all federal services, municipal entities, emergency services and population.
ReplyDeleteWithin the framework of the exercises the regions of Russia will hold educational events to improve practical skills of civil defense heads and to check preparedness of different agencies and services to eliminate emergency situations.
The legend of the training supposes numerous technogenic and natural emergency situations. Each region will consider hypothetical situations characteristic of this area: natural fires, earthquake, threats to radiation and chemical production facilities.
The following events will be organized for the population on 4 October within the framework of celebration go 80th anniversary of Civil Defense: open days on fire stations, museums of the Emergency Ministry, exhibitions of fire and rescue equipment, demonstration of man rescue techniques and meetings with veterans.

Russia's Space Forces Day is a memorable date dedicated to the launch on October 4, 1957 from Baikonur cosmodrome of the world's first artificial satellite. Especially for the preparatory work, as well as the actual launch and flight control of the first satellite, military units for space purposes were formed.

On 26th of March Minister of Defense RF entrusted personal standard commander-in-chief of space forces On 3 October by President's Decree RF №1115 which introduced the day of space troops, noted yearly on 4 October.
World Space Week is an annual event, observed during the week of 4-10 October. By Resolution 54/68 of 6 December 1999, the General Assembly proclaimed World Space Week, to celebrate the contributions of space science and technology to the betterment of the human condition.
