Anastasia V. Liukin was born on October 30, 1989 in Moscow, the son of
famous Soviet athletes. Вecame a champion 2008 Olympic Games, winning in
Beijing five Olympic medals. In addition to sports performances, Liukin is known
by her appearances on television

ReplyDeleteNastia Liukin was the 2008 Olympic all-around champion. She also won four national all-around titles and nine World Championship medals. In October of 2011, Liukin announced she was making a comeback, in hopes of being named to the 2012 Olympic gymnastics team. She competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials, but wasn't named to the team, and has since said she will be retiring from the sport.
ReplyDeleteAlos that day is the national holiday - "The Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political" is an annual day of remembrance for victims of political repression in the Soviet Union.
ReplyDeleteIt is commemorated on October 30, since 1991, in former Soviet republics, except for Ukraine, which has its own annual Day of Remembrance for the victims of political repressions by the Soviet regime on the third Sunday of May.
Members of the Memorial society take active part in meetings.
