International Day of the Black Sea


The Black Sea has an area of 436,400 km2 (168,500 sq mi) (not including the Sea of Azov),a maximum depth of 2,212 m (7,257 ft), and a volume of 547,000 km3 (131,200 cu mi). The Black Sea forms in an east-west trending elliptical depression which lies between Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine.

The Day of Signer


The Day of  Signer was established in January 2003, on the initiative of the Central Board of Russian society of the deaf people with the aim to draw public attention to the problems of deaf.

The Day of Automobile and Public Transport Workers


 This holiday was instituted by presidential decree in June 2012 and it is absolutely justified, because automobile transport and public transport play a tremendous role in Russia and especially Moscow city. This is perhaps one of the main infrastructure sectors, ensuring the smooth operation of everyday city life.

World Day for Audiovisual Heritage



            The World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is annually observed on October 27 to build global awareness of issues on preserving audiovisual material, such as sound recordings and moving images.
            The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) works with organizations, governments and communities promote the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage on October 27 each year. Activities and events include:
·         Competitions, such as a logo contest, to promote the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
·         Local programs organized as a joint effort between national film archives, audiovisual societies, television or radio stations, and governments.
·         Panel discussions, conferences, and public talks on the importance of preserving important audiovisual documents.
·         Special film screenings.

The day ofspecial mission units


The day of special mission units is comparatively a young professional holiday in Russia, it was set on may 31, 2006 by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Date of October 24, was not chosen by chance. On this day, in 1950, the Minister for the Armed forces of the USSR and Minister of War of the USSR, the Marshal of Soviet Union A.Vasilevsky signed Directive no ORG/2/395/832 with the stamp «Secret» about the creation of special mission units (SPN).

The special mission units (Russian Spetsnaz GRU) are considered the best trained units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Spetsnaz have created a fierce reputation as one of the best special forces in the world today due to the very harsh standards of their training. They are controlled by the GRU.
