Appraiser's Day in Russia 

 День оценщика в России


On November 27, the members of the Russian society of appraisers (RSA) celebrate their professional holiday. On this day in 1996 the Decree of the Ministry of labour and social development of the Russian Federation approved the job description for the position of «Appraiser» - an expert in the evaluation of property. The main activity of appraisers is connected with the analysis of active assets and determination of the amount of tools, spent on their creation. They also determine the cost of the maintenance of active assets at the present time and what profit they can bring to its owner in the future. As for the appraiser's qualities, the one must be professional, have a good qualification and education, the high IQ level, good individual and business qualities and resistance to stress.

  2. Also, this day Anatoly Ivanovich Maltsev (Malcev)was born. He lived in Misheronsky, near Moscow, and died in Novosibirsk, USSR. He was a mathematician noted for his work on the decidability of various algebraic groups. Malcev algebras (generalisations of Lie algebras) are named after him.

    Maltsev worked on problems of decidability of elementary theories of various algebraic structures. He showed the undecidability of the elementary theory of finite groups, of free nilpotent groups, of free soluble groups and many others. He also proved that the class of locally free algebras has a decidable theory.

    Maltsev received many honours, including the Stalin Prize in 1946 and Lenin Prize in 1964.

  3. Noyabrina "Nonna" Viktorovna Mordyukova (November 25, 1925 – July 6, 2008) was a Soviet actress and People's Artist of the USSR (1974). She was the star of films like director Denis Yevstigneyev's Mama and Nikita Mikhalkov's 1980s hit Rodnya. n 1949, she was awarded the Stalin Prize for the role of Ulyana Gromova in The Young Guard movie. It was her debut film role.

  4. Boris Grebenshchikov (November 27, 1953) is one of the most prominent members of the generation which is widely considered the "founding fathers" of Russian rock music. Due as much to his personal contribution as to the undisputed and lasting success of his main effort, the band Aquarium (active since 1972 until today), he is a household name in Russia. Grebenshchikov is colloquially known as BG (Russian: БГ) after his initials. He is often called as 'Grandfather of Russian Rock'.
