Yulia Olegovna Volkova better known by the alternative spelling of Julia, is a Russian singer, recording artist and actress, best known for being a member in the Russian girl group t.A.T.u., along with Lena Katina. A girl group who were managed in Moscow, Russia by Ivan Shapovalov in March 1999, the group signed a record deal to Universal Music Russia, where they had eventually signed to Universal's sub-label Interscope Records in 2001.

ReplyDeleteYevgeny Fyodorovich Dragunov ( February 20, 1920, Izhevsk – August 4, 1991) was a Russian weapons designer, best known for the semi-automatic rifle bearing his name, the Dragunov sniper rifle.
ReplyDeleteFrom a family of gunsmiths, Dragunov worked as a factory machinist before beginning military service in 1939. After 1941 he was a senior armourer, working on Soviet and also captured enemy weapons during wartime. After 1945 he returned to Izhevsk and joined the Arms Design Bureau, working as a project engineer on sporting and civilian target rifles through the 1950s. One of these, the Biathlon target rifle, went on to Olympic Gold. In 1959 Dragunov submitted his design for a military sniping rifle, the SVD, which was accepted into Soviet military service in 1963, and later became known as the Dragunov rifle.
We know, that Yulia Volkova is not only a singer but also a beginning actress.
ReplyDeleteVolkova made her film début alongside Lena Katina and Mischa Barton in the film You and I, the story of two teenage girls who meet and fall in love at a Moscow t.A.T.u. concert. The film is based on the novel t.A.T.u. Come Back, which was in turn based on true events.
During August 2011, Julia participated in the shooting of the movie “9 1/2 Zombies" (Previously titled "Fear Mongers"). According to the post on her official site "'9 1/2 Zombies' is a Russian language zombie horror/comedy movie shot on location in Minsk, Belarus. Produced by New Wave Production in the style of such films as 'Welcome to Zombieland' or 'Shaun of the Dead', 'Fear Mongers' is preparing for an autumn 2012 premiere". Julia will be playing the heroine, Natalia. She is also to record a soundtrack for the movie.
Anatoly Alexandrovich Sobchak (Russian: Анато́лий Алекса́ндрович Собча́к, August 10, 1937—February 20, 2000) was a Russian politician, a co-author of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the first democratically elected mayor of Saint Petersburg, and a mentor and teacher of both Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev.
